    Its Kris Allen who took home the crown of American Idol for the eighth season of the most popular American reality TV show. The announcement left many shocked, including Kris Allen himself. The scintillating two hour season finale was held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles where host Ryan Seacrest made the announcement.
